Internship Program Weekend Activities
The University of Dreams weekend activities are one of the most popular aspects of our program, and it's no secret why. Traveling and experiencing the city is a crucial element in allowing you to explore all that New York City has to offer. It is very important to us that you get the full experience of living in New York City.
Below is a summary of the weekend activities offered during the Summer 2008 Program - weekend activities for the Summer 2009 programs will be finalized by January 1, 2009.

Tour of New York City, Lunch in Times Square, and an afternoon in Central Park We'll hop off at Times Square where all-star performers will serenade us with their artistry. After we eat lunch in a well-known restaurant in Times Square, you will have the rest of the day to venture around the city. A Saturday afternoon post-activity favorite is to retreat to Central Park to take in the rays and get plenty of rest and relaxation! We'll guide it all! |

Atlantic City Overnighter Join in on the fun in the sun at Atlantic City, New Jersey! Atlantic City is an oceanfront resort and casino play town, which also happens to be the city on which the famous board game Monopoly is based. We'll head straight to the sandy beaches of the Boardwalk strip, and after a day of enjoying the beach and boardwalk, we will check in and freshen up at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel—home of the Miss America Beauty Pageant. The night is yours to do as you please. Whether it's dining at the Hard Rock Cafe or scoping out the scene at Donald Trump's Hotel and Casinos, there is plenty of excitement in Atlantic City! |

Broadway Show Millions of people each year are attracted to New York City to see the magnificent Times Square. You will be among the many to see the dazzling lights and experience one of the most sensational Broadway shows of the summer. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show! To contribute to the awe-inspiring and magical experience, University of Dreams will team up with Broadway Delivers, a new fundraising initiative of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and the League of American Theaters and Producers, to bring you a customized Broadway-style entertainment. |

Yankees Game To have a true New York experience, everyone should experience a New York Yankees game! We will commute from Manhattan to the Bronx and make our way to Yankees Stadium, a.k.a. the House that Ruth Built. Get ready for some friendly rivalry and experience the spirit of Yankee fans as we cheer for one of our favorite teams. Let's go Yankees! |

Sunset Cruise of the NYC Harbor Ladies and Gents, dress your best in black, white, or red for this very special affair, "New York, New York." As we escape the hustle and bustle of the city, we'll revel in a three-hour dinner/dance sunset cruise on the Spirit of the Hudson. We'll cruise to the smooth sounds of Frank Sinatra and mingle with friends as we take in the picturesque views of the city from the NY Harbor. After eating a sumptuous dinner, we'll pick up the speed and dance to your favorite beats. As the sun sets, we will have the most breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and New York City's greatest landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty! This will surely be a memorable evening as we dine, dance, and party on board! |

Caroline's on Broadway Comedy Club We will take you to one of New York City's most popular comedy clubs where we will satisfy your appetite with mouth-watering food and gut-busting comedy! At the comedy club, expect to see up-and-coming comics, or you may even catch a comic from the late-night television circuit sitcoms. Either way, we are sure this evening will leave you with a laughing impression. What else would you expect from the comedy club who brought you stars like Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen, Rosie O'Donnell and Jay Leno? |
